Epic Militaria 2016 Summer Show Schedule

Epic Militaria Summer Show Schedule

We’re excited to announce we will be returning to all 4 of the shows we attended last year, as well as the addition of Wicksteed at War. This takes our Epic Militaria Summer Tour total up to 5 shows, with appearances from Bovington to Bradford!

Hot off the heels of early 2016 appearances at the Stoneleigh Militaria Show and the British Shooting Show, we have finished putting together our schedule for the Summer. We’re beginning the show season with a new addition – Wicksteed at War. After this, we’ll be returning to the same 4 shows we went to last year: Tankfest, the Yorkshire Wartime Experience, the War and Peace Revival and the Essex Military and Flying Machines Show.

Our first stop then is at Wicksteed at War, where we look forward to meeting a new crowd (although some familiar faces always pop up!) and visit somewhere we haven’t been before. It will be the 6th year of the show, which has quickly become one of the biggest Militaria Shows in the Midlands. There are loads of Military Vehicles heading to the show, including a Russian T-55 Tank and a flyover from a Lancaster Bomber on the Sunday. The show runs from 10-12th June, and with free entry to the public its well worth popping along to see us…and the rest of the show of course!

Our 2nd Show of the Summer is the ever popular Tankfest, at the Bovington Tank Museum in Dorset. With some of the best displays on the calendar, including a Battle Finale centred on the capture of a Tiger 131 Tank in Tunisia, 1943, we HAD to come back this year! The Show is on 25-26th June, and we’ll be taking a great range of tank (and anti-tank!) gear, as well as many of our popular uniforms and equipment pieces.

For our next stop we will be heading north to the Yorkshire Wartime Experience. We attended this for the first time last year and had a whale of a time (not just down to our proximity to the beer tent!). With over 300 Military Vehicles and over 50 Re-enactment and Living History Groups in attendance, this is definitely worth coming along to. The Show takes place from 8-10th July, and is located in Hunsworth, just outside of Bradford.

The next show is the War and Peace Revival, the biggest and busiest show on the calendar. Located in Folkestone, the War and Peace Revival is attended by people from all across Europe (and many from even further afield!). With battle re-enactments, vehicle displays, musical performances and a lot more, you could spend a full day there and not get to see everything. But do not fear – we’ll be there the full week so you’ll have plenty of chances to come say hello and see what we’ve brought with us! The show takes place from 19-23rd July at Folkestone Racecourse.

We’ll be finishing the Summer with a trip to the Essex Military and Flying Machines Show in Upminster, Essex. We attended this show for the first time last year and particularly enjoyed some great Aircraft Flypasts and the Aerobatics Display. There’s loads more planned for the show this year, with the Show celebrating its 10th Anniversary in style, with the dates set for 6-7th August.

In the lead up to each show we will be doing show Preview Blogs, which are going to have all the important information you’ll need, such as the potential show highlights, where you can find the all important Epic Militaria stall and what we’ll have on it. Stay tuned for further updates throughout the year!
