Our final show of our Summer Tour is upon us! This weekend we will be at the Essex Military and Flying Vehicles Show for the 2nd time, with the Epic team ready to hit the road for the last time in 2016. Here’s what we will be bringing with us, and what the show has in store for everyone attending.
Last year we added 3 brand new shows to our summer; Tankfest, the Yorkshire Wartime Experience and the Essex Military and Flying Vehicles Show. We have returned to all 3 this year, as well as adding Wicksteed at War to the itinerary. Essex was our final hurrah in 2015, and it is again this year. This year also celebrates the 10th year of the show in its current location and format, based at Damyns Hall near Upminster. This year’s show promises to be a cracker yet again. The show is the main fundraising event for HMVA, and so you can expect hundreds of vehicles to be in attendance. There will also be plenty of living history and re-enactment displays, as well as live music and a vintage fairground also on site. For any adrenaline junkies out there, the RAF are bringing a flight simulator along!
We will be bringing our usual mix of products with us, but we’ve chucked a couple of extra things for various reasons. The range we’re most excited about is the return of our American Boots! We have a good range of sizes back in stock, and will be bringing the Buckle, Rough Out, Paratrooper and Service Boots with us. These came in whilst we were packing the vans for War and Peace, and so were very lucky to be able to take them in time. They will be out of the road again this weekend. We are also taking a few extra bits (found tiny little spaces in the van to sneak in one or two new bits), which you will be able to find on our stall. We’ve packed the Czech Army Socks everyone wears at Epic HQ in the Winter, which quite possibly are the most comfortable socks in the world.
We will be posting up occasional pictures on the weekend on Facebook, so keep an eye out for more details on where you can find us at the show. You will find us at pitches C9-10. For those of you who haven’t been to the Essex Military and Flying Vehicles Show before, here is the map for the showgrounds (there’s also a map of the traffic routes here).
We look forward to seeing load of you all down there, for what should be a great finish to a brilliant Summer!
