Summer has finally officially begun and the show season is well and truly upon us. In just over a week, we’ll be going to our first summer show of the year – Wicksteed at War. To get you as excited as we are, here’s a preview of what you have to look forward to.

Wicksteed at War is one of the largest shows of its kind in the UK. In fact, last year it hosted over 15,000 visitors and we greatly enjoyed meeting many of them at our stall! With free entry and a host of events, this year promises to be just as well-attended. One of the highlights of our experience last year was enjoying the great atmosphere and meeting many fellow WW2 enthusiasts. On top of that, we had an excellent view of the main re-enactment battles in the main arena. Unfortunately, we were so busy that we missed the flypasts!

However, this year we hope to catch a glimpse of some iconic WW2 aircraft. On Saturday, Spitfires, Hurricanes and Lancasters will be making a flyover and on Sunday there’ll be some Dakota transport aircraft too. In addition to that, there will be a wide range of re-enactment groups attending. In particular, “Rolling Thunder”, a Vietnam War-era group, will be putting on some impressive displays. There will also be a great number of WW2 and more modern armoured vehicles to see up close and in action. We’ve got to say that we certainly think we’re in for a treat.

But of course, team Epic aren’t just going to be spectators. We’ll be bringing a load of our very best WW2 and modern products for you to browse. We’ve been hard at work putting together our packing lists and picking the items ahead of the show. This year, we’re also taking some of our new members of staff, so be sure to come and meet them too!  We’re really looking forward to next weekend and we hope to see you all at our stall!
